On four consecutive Friday nights in July, the Bremerton waterfront and its overwater park come alive with music in the Concerts on the Boardwalk series. Sponsored by the Bremerton Main Stream Association and funded by various community businesses and organizations, this event is one of the most popular in downtown Bremerton. The crowd swells with the arrival of hundreds of passengers aboard the state ferries next to the park. Pleasure boaters tie up at the Port of Bremerton Marina. Visitors can watch Bremerton-Seattle ferries and glimpse an occasional bald eagle. From time to time one can see an aircraft carrier or ship arrive or depart from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The panoroma of water, evergreens and Mt. Rainier provides a spectacular view.
